Bliss is My Food Introduction

“As is the food, so is the mind;

As is the mind, so are the thoughts;

As are the thoughts, so is the conduct;

As is the conduct, so is the health”

In celebration of the Sathya Sai World Youth Festival (2016) we are delighted to publish “Bliss is my Food”, an online cookbook containing 108 delicious vegetarian recipes from around the world.

The primary objective of this book is to encourage everyone, especially the youth, to understand and practice Sathya Sai Baba’s teachings on health and disciplined living; and learn to preserve our planet through vegetarian food and mindful eating (Eco-Care). This will help us understand how small changes in our lifestyles can have a profound impact on the environment and Earth.

The online cookbook is divided into categories for easy reference: soups, salads, light bites, main meals, desserts and beverages. We are also pleased to offer a special collection of recipes contributed by an ardent devotee who was blessed to prepare meals for Sathya Sai Baba.

Finally, there is a section dedicated to preparing meals for large groups. We hope that the reader will feel inspired and encouraged to take up more food related service opportunities in their local communities.

We would like to thank our outstanding Sai Chefs from around the world for their delicious recipes; the Sai Green Corps for ideas and valuable information on how to care for the environment, and the cookbook team who worked tirelessly in creating this beautiful publication.

Most importantly, on behalf of all Sai Youth, we thank our beloved Sathya Sai Baba for giving us this golden opportunity to offer this humble token of love.
